HIGH FUNCTIONALITY

Sweeper's Clock

The two low functionality objects I choose were not that important to me or a way of living. "The Doubled Wide Chair" is just an basic chair were anybody can sit on. It really makes no diffference on the way of living. Also "Crowbot Jenny" shows no high functionality. This is just something to watch to get somebody attention. Probably a broadcast or something. I really dont think you can make these objects more ergonomic than they already are. I believe its really no use for it. The two design or art work I believe is high functionality are "Google Maps My Block NYC" and "Sweeper's Clock." The two high functional objects are can be alter to be more ergonomic because here you have updated techonology. "My Block NYC"  is a touch screen map. You can use it to find where you want to go and it shows the neighborhood you live in and its a more easier and simple way than to use a computer or smartphones because after a while those things cant function well after a period of time. The sweepers clock is another high functionality because it can make life more easier. Just imagine if you were in the city and you see a big screen of sweepers telling you the time. Its and updated technology were you can also keep in your house as well. It can catch the viewer attention while trying to tell you the time. Its common to as watch or any form of technology telling the time.
An object do not need to be more highly functional to be a good design. They are many artworks that may look plain but can be a good design. It just really matters how the artist is trying to present the art work and the meaning of it. I believe a good design how much the art work would cost. That shows if its highly functional to be a good design or not. Art and design is not two separate ideas because the design is art no matter what. We use art in different ways. For example what if you saw a can food that haves an octagon shape. You will be amazed that the have an can food like that and yet it will seem akward. So art and design comes together like hand in hand. So their is really no different between them. What is art without design should be a good question to think about.
